Valley implements new window periods

NEW window periods are set for the 16 barangays of Benguet’s capital town in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic effective, Wednesday, March 25.

Mayor Romeo Salda said a window period for the purchase of food, medical and agricultur­al needs is to be allotted.

The window period was set after discussion with municipal and barangay officials and the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, after deliberati­on, a 24-hour curfew has been set with no window period for Sundays in the town as precaution­ary measure against the threat of the virus.

New window periods for Barangays Alapang, Ambiong, Bahong, Beckel, Bineng is set from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for Monday, Wednesday and Friday (MWF) only.

In the afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. of MWF, schedule is set for Barangays Betag, Pico, Shilan, Tawang and Wangal.

For Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (TTHS) schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon is set for Barangays Alno, Balili and Puguis. From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. is set for Barangays Cruz, Lubas, Poblacion.

All establishm­ents providing basic necessitie­s including eateries, farm supplies ad pet shops, banks and financial institutio­ns

may be allowed to open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. while restaurant­s and eateries are for take – out only.

Sari-sari stores in the barangays are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only.

There will be only one pass slip per family for the window period, the bearer must wear a mask at all times and observe physical distancing
