9,000 private sector workers to get assistance
MORE than 9,000 private-sector workers in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) affected by the Luzonwide Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) is set to get financial assistance under Covid - 19 Adjustment Measure Program (CAMP) of the Department of Labor and Employment.
CAMP offers a one – time P5, 000 financial assistance to workers, whether permanent, probationary or contractual, of private establishments whose operations are affected due imposition of ECQ in a bid to contain the spread of Covid - 19.
Patrick Rillorta of DOLE - CAR reported that as of March 26, there are 9,286 private-sector workers that applied for the CAMP with 2,260 of the applicant's workers of 118 establishments that imposed a Flexible Working Arrangement reducing the number of hours/ days of their work while 7,026 of the applicants are workers of private establishments that implemented temporary closure due to COVID - 19.
DOLE - CAR hope to start releasing the CAMP financial assistance this week, Rillorta said.
For the affected private sector, workers who have not yet applied for the said financial assistance, they can download the application form at the DOLE - CAR website or facebook account and

Another assistance DOLE - CAR provides in partnership with local government units are the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantage workers Program #Barangay Ko, Bahay Ko (TUPAD #BKBK).
This is for the informal sector workers whose work is affected by the ECQ. Qualified beneficiaries can work for 10 days and will be paid with the prevailing daily minimum wage in their area.
