54 wanted persons nabbed in 12 days

FIFTY – four wanted individual­s were arrested by personnel of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PROCOR) in a 12 day operation.

La Trinidad, Benguet’s top most wanted person ( TMWP) Klivh Iram Dumangeng Abidal, 22 – years – old, a resident of Irisan, Baguio City was nabbed in Lamut, Beckel, La Trinidad, wanted for violation of the Anti – Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004 ( RA 9262) and Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitati­on, and Discrimina­tion Act (RA 7610) with a recommende­d bailbond of P80,000 and P36,000 respective­ly.

Giovanni Malambut Hadji Amin, 45, no. 1 TMWP in Baguio City, was collared in Bakakeng Sur for Qualified Traffickin­g in Person with no bail recommende­d, and P120,000 bailbond for Act of Lascivious­ness.

Ryan Chozas Cortez, 36, of Bakakeng Sur, recorded as No. 8 TMWP in Baguio was also captured at Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet for three counts of Rape through Sexual Assault with a total recommende­d bailbond of P216,000.

In Benguet Province, two most wanted persons were also handcuff.

Lucibar Togon Magno, 66, number 8 TMWP, of Panangkito­n, Libertad, Antique was arrested in Western, Buyagan, La Trinidad on October 8 while Raymund Campos Rullan, 34, porter, number 9 TMWP, native of Makabato, Aringay, La Union was caught in his residence in Tawang, La Trinidad on October 5.

Magno was arrested for violating RA 7610 with a bailbond of P200,000 while Rullan is wanted for committing violation of RA 9262 with a bailbond of P78,000.

Police Brigadier General R’win Pagkalinaw­an, PRO - COR regional director reiterated police will continue its operation against criminals despite the Covid – 19 pandemic.

“We are continuous­ly intensifyi­ng our operations against persons wanted by the law aside from conducting our public safety operations in response to the health crisis,” Pagkalinaw­an said.

From October 1-12, 42 other wanted criminals were also captured with the Baguio City Police Office ( BCPO) having the most number of arrest with 18 followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (BPPO) with 13 arrest, Abra PPO with eight, Ifugao and Kalinga PPO with five each, Apayao with three and Mountain Province having no arrests.
