DTI to launch ‘Kapatid Mentor Me’ program in Camiguin
MAMBAJAO, Camiguin-- The Department of Trade and Industry-Camiguin Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) – Go Negosyo, is set to launch the Kapatid Mentor Me Program here on March 27 at the Camiguin Convention Center in the capital town of Mambajao.
Mentor ME (Micro Entrepreneur) Program is a collaborative coaching and mentoring program with partner entrepreneurs (mentees), academe and institutions specializing in functional areas of entrepreneurship and mentorship with target participants of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who are willing to undergo the 10-module mentorship program.
The Mentor – Micro Entrepreneur (Mentor ME) aims to assist MSMEs scale up and sustain their enterprises by equipping them with the needed skill sets by way of theoretical or conceptual discussions and mentoring/ coaching sessions consisting of 10 modules to be conducted in 12 weeks and undertaken in partnership with institutions specializing in functional areas of entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile, private practitioners, successful entrepreneurs and experts from the academe will sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) forging partnership with the DTI being tapped as mentors to help in different aspects of business operations like entrepreneurial mind setting and values formation, products development, operations management, marketing, human resource management, entrepreneurial accounting and financial management among others.
