-

AFTER exiting “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Arjo Atayde expressed his gratitude for playing one of the lead roles of the primetime series.

The Kapamilya actor worked opposite Coco Martin and seasoned actress Susan Roces for almost two years until viewers saw his character off this week.

Atayde said Joaquin will forever be part of his life.

“I will miss you Joaquin. You’ve done so much to me. I love you Joaqs. Till we meet again,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

In his prior interviews, Atayde also expressed his gratitude to Martin for being one of his mentors in the entertainment business.

“I learn so much from him. Before each take, we discuss the dynamics of the scene. He would give suggestions, which take note of,” he said in an interview with The Philippine Daily Inquirer last April.

The actor added that playing a villain role was not that easy but he’s thankful for the help and guidance of his co-actors.

“I’m a newbie in this business. I realized that if you have excellent people working with you, you absorb the emotion they give you,” Atayde said.

Meanwhile, the journey of Cardo Dalisay, played by Martin, continues in the hit primetime series. The show gets bigger as new characters are introduced this week.

Filipino action movie icon Lito Lapid and “Heneral Luna” actor John Arcilla are joining the program.

Comedienne Pokwang will also reunite with “Till I Met You” co-star Angel Aquino in the series.

Other names who are joining the cast of the Kapamilya show are OPM singer Mitch Valdez, television host Jhong Hilario, “Dugong Buhay” stars Ejay Falcon and Yam Concepcion, Martin’s younger brother Ronwaldo, and Sid Lucero.

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” will air until January 2018. (SunStar Philippines)
