2 killed, 1 nabbed in LdN-PNP ‘Tokhang’ Reloaded
Tubod, Lanao del Norte - Elements of the Tubod Philippine National Police(PNP), Lanao del Norte Provincial Intelligence, Lanao del Norte Provincial Public Safety Company and the Lanao del Norte Special Weapon And Tactics (LDN SWAT) recently conducted simultaneously raids on the houses of three suspected personalities involved in the illegal drugs trade in barangay Bulod, Tubod town.
The subjects of the raid were identified as Warren “Wowie” Buale Pido, Anwar Buale Pido, Arafat Buale Pido and a certain Junjun who supposedly tried to engage police in a gunfight resulting to his death.
Police seized a .45 caliber pistol as well as various drug paraphernalia from Warren Wowie.
Police also allegedly recovered in the house of Anwar Pido are six (6) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; four (4) pieces rolled aluminum foil; one (1) piece oval shape plastic container color black; four (4) pieces improvised glass tooter; ten (10) pieces unsealed transparent plastic sachet ; six (6) pieces disposable lighters (2 color green, 2 color blue, 1 color orange and 1 color violet; 2 pieces crumpled aluminum foil; 1 piece ceramic ash tray color black; two (2) pieces heat sealer; three (3) pieces stainless knife; one (1) piece digital weighing scale color black with marlboro marking; one (1) piece square tainted glass; one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol with brand name ParaOrdinance with 1 steel magazine loaded with six (6) live ammunition; one (1) piece steel magazine loaded with four (4) live ammunition for Cal. 45; one (1) piece black leather holster; two (2) pieces fragmentation grenade; one (1) unit homemade caliber 22; one (1) piece black pouch; sixteen (16) pieces ammunition for caliber 22; five (5) pieces 50 caliber cartridges cases; fifteen (15) pieces fired cartridge cases for cal. 9mm and; eight (8) pieces fired cartridge cases for cal. 22.
Authorities also confiscated six (6) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;four (4) pieces rolled aluminum foil; one (1) piece oval shape plastic container color black; four (4) pieces improvised glass tooter; ten
improvised glass tooter; ten (10) pieces unsealed transparent plastic sachet in the house of Anwar Buale Pido.
The arrested individuals are now detained at the local jail.
The team who served the search warrant for Warren Buale Pido a.k.a. “Wowie” led by PSUPT Surki A. SereÑas, PI Angel Vergara and PSI Roland Donor. The team led by PCI Javier S. Tanog and PI Alexander C. Lawan as team two (2) executed the search warrant against the subject Anwar Buale Pido while the team led by PSI Peter Tajor as team (3) executed the search warrant against the subject Arapat Buale Pido.
The thee simultaneous operations were witnessed by group of local media, barangay officials and municipal officials headed by Mayor Leoncio Bagol.
According to Tubod Police Chief Police Sr. Inspector Roland Donor his team followed the standard procedure during the operation in fact it was accompanied by media and local officials but it is just unfortunate that the two suspects tried to use their firearms against the team that led to the death of a certain Warren “Wowie” Pido and Junjun.
Intellegence report reveals that the Pido group has been known and continue their operations even during the intensified campaign of Operation Tokhang of the PNP.
However, Tubod Mayor Leoncio Bagol said that local officials of Lanao del Norte including his municipality have been very supportive in the campaing against illegal drugs. In Tubod alone, there were hundreds of personalities who sucessfully undergone drug rehabilitation and the funds intended to this program is shouldered by the LGU. He emphasized that this is in line with the marching order of President Rodrigo Duterte to cleanse the communities of the province where there are alledged individuals specially the youth who are involved in using shabu. He said that this is also a respond by the call of our provincial officials challenging all municipal elected officials to do what is appropriate to curve the influence of illegal drugs in their areas.
Meanwhile, PSSUPT Leopoldo Cabanag assures the public that the police would adhere to their oath to serve and protect the people and will implement untainted operations to maintain peace and order helping the government to achieve sustainable development and harmonious existence.
