Drinking partner stabs elderly woman to death

AN altercatio­n with her drinking buddies led to the untimely demise of a 45-year-old woman who was stabbed to death in Zone 10. Zayas, brgy. Carmen here, over the weekend. The victim, identified as Nida Balao of lower Dagong in said barangay, bathed in her own blood after she sustained five fatal stab wounds and three incised wounds on the different parts of her body. Prior to the incident, police said the victim had last been seen in a drinking spree with

two unidentifi­ed men in the area.

Chief Inspector Richie Salva, police station 4 chief, said witnesses then saw the victim having a heated confrontat­ion with her drinking buddies.

“Nangayo daw og kwarta ang biktima sa iyang ka-live in para inom unya naa daw nakalalis ang biktima dihang nag-inom, Posible nga katong iyang nakalalis maoy suspect,” Salva said.

Authoritie­s are still collecting all pieces of informatio­n and evidences that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Salva said they are also monitoring a group of men who may have been responsibl­e for the crime.

“Amo pang gisubay kay naay informatio­n nga didto niadto sa may sapa-sapa ang mga suspects unya na pud tay gisundan nga group pero dili pa ta kasiguro,”Salva said.

“Ang atong operatives padayon pa sa pag follow-up ug imbestiga aron matagaan hustisya ang kamatayon sa biktima,”Salva added.
