Bambi tells police to solve killings
Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny ‘Bambi' Emano is urging the police to solve the what appears to be summary killings involving suspected drug personalities in his hometown of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Two suspected drug personalities were killed while two others were wounded after being hit by stray bullets in a separate shooting incidents perpetrated by unidentified gunmen at Sta. Cruz and Mohon villages, Tagoloan, last Thursday, October 5.
The governor told the victims' families to seek justice from the courts if they think their rights have been violated.
"I would leave it to the police kung unsa ilang findings. And sa family sa mga victims naa man mga ahensya nga pwede maduolan kung nagtuo sila nga nayatakan ilang katungod,'Emano said.
Emano reminded the Provincial Police Office to be attentive to complaints from victims' families.
The capitol's top official also urged the police to cooperate if they are subjected to probes.
"They have to solve it kay what if kita ang nahitaboan we will be calling for justice also. We are hoping that the police will cooperate also when the time comes that they will be investigated. If their conscience is clear wala silay angay kahadlokan, "Emano said.
Emano also said it should not be concluded yet that the shooting deaths were statesponsored since these could also be perpetrated by those who are taking advantage of the government's war on drugs.
The governor said he fully supports the government's anti-illegal drug campaign.
"Posible dunay gasakay sa Tokhang and you don't even know that those killed everyday are killed by the police or criminals or same sa ilang grupo sa mga addicts or drug dealers or some maybe personal," Emano said.
"Padayon atong suporta sa kampanya kontra droga. I believe that the pain we feel will be converted eventually sa peaceful Philippines because I trust the president even with the issues ug pagpangdaot I still believe his leadership that he would bring the country forward,"Emano added.
