Walk-in entries welcome for the day-long tourney
MORE teams are expected to join in the Sabado Gang 10th Anniversary Football Festival set on Saturday at the Westridge Sports Park as organizers have decided to accept late and walk-in entries for the day-long competition.
Tournament organizer Percival Batar said that he is expecting more teams to join that will increase the number of participants to more than 30 teams.
However, the late entries should register not later than 7 a.m. as the competition will start at 8 .m.
So far 14 teams divided into two groups including a team from Cebu City, Zero Percent have signed up to join the 35 and Above catREGISTRATION egory. The Cebu team is in Group A with Sabado Gang -A, Oliveros FC team A of Iligan, Magis FC, Hillsiders FC, Amorseco FC, Sorposa FC team A.
Teams in Group B are Sabado Gang teams B and C, Oliveros FC team B, Firewolves, Football Kami, Eastern FC, and Sorposa Cowboys team B.
So far teams joining in the Mixed 10 and Boys 12 categories are Rosevale School, Xavier University Grade School, West City Central School, Iligan FC, Initao FC, Motecarlo FC, Oroqueta, and Pagadian Firewolves.
Interested teams can still register at 09065969606. Entry fee for the men’s 35-Above is P2,000 per team while for the Mixed 10 and Boys 12 entry fee is P1,000.
The champion team in the Men’s 35 Above will win P10,000, second placer P 3,000 and third P2,000. Trophies and medals are also at stake for the winners. (l.biantan@gmail.com)
