PIOLO Pascual and movie director Joyce Bernal have donated P1.5 million for the rehabilitation efforts in the wartorn Marawi City.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, action star Robin Padilla disclosed that he personally met Pascual and Bernal on Monday, October 23, where the two gave him the cheques.

Pascual donated P1 million while Bernal gave P500,000.

Pascual and Bernal's film outfit, Spring Films, produced the blockbuster hit “Kita Kita” starring Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez. The movie have reportedly raked in more than P300 million in the box office.

Padilla, who himself donated P5 million to the affected children of Marawi, said the two also pledged not only monetary help, but other assistance to help rebuild the city.

To recall, President Rodrigo Duterte declared Marawi's liberation from Islamic State fighters nearly five months after the Maute group laid siege to the southern Philippine city. (SunStar Philippines)
