CMOFA congress on Nov. 30
CAGAYAN Misamis Oriental Football Association (CMOFA), the ruling body of football in this part of the country, is set to hold its first ordinary congress for all clubs and stakeholders on Nov. 30.
CMOFA president Percy Guarin yesterday announced that the congress will start at 1 p.m. The venue will be announced later.
Only active CMOFA member clubs are invited to the congress. Each clubs or any stakeholders are allowed to send in only one representative.
The main agenda of the forum is to finalize the CMOFA constitution by laws which has been required by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) to be completed as early as last year.
Included in the agenda will be the identification of the members of the association. “This is very important as the CMOFA has been in existence for a long time now but the membership is still vague,’’ Guarin said.
Also to be finalized during the congress is what exactly is the name of the association as the original name MOCAGESCO Regional Football Association stated in the new constitution and by laws has been heavily criticized.
MOCAGESCO is an acronym for Misamis Oriental Cagayan Ginggoog El Salvador Camiguin and Opol. They are the big cities and municipalities that comprise the association.
