ANCAJAS...

-

Fight analyst Dennis Principe said that, since Ancajas’ brand of boxing is very well appreciated there, he should consider seeking a title unification against British-born Yemeni Khalid Yafai.

“He’s on the right track,” Principe said of Ancajas’ successful IBF junior bantamweight title defense against Conlan in Belfast.

“It’s a good start if he’s thinking of creating a career wherein his stardom magsisimula sa British market. His style is fit sa crowd na iyan.”

Ancajas, known for his technical style of fighting, took Conlan apart in 6 rounds. During their exchange in the first round, the Panabo City native was able to connect a short stab to the body that felled the Irishman.

Ancajas steadily bombed Conlan with heavy shots to the body to score two more knockdowns in rounds 3 and 4. Conlan tightly guarded the body, but this left his head open to a looping right hand that dropped him once more in the 6th. At this point, the referee stepped in and waved the fight in favor of the champion.

“If I were him I would consider campaigning and fighting British champions. Nakapagsimula na na siya kay Conlan, magandang jumpstart iyan sa career n’ya,” said Principe.

“The marquee fight na readily available for Ancajas next year would be with Yafai kasi puputok iyan kasi nakagawa na siya ng ingay and Yafai is undefeated.” Abs-cbnnews
