Fight analyst Dennis Principe said that, since Ancajas’ brand of boxing is very well appreciated there, he should consider seeking a title unification against British-born Yemeni Khalid Yafai.

“He’s on the right track,” Principe said of Ancajas’ successful IBF junior bantamweight title defense against Conlan in Belfast.

“It’s a good start if he’s thinking of creating a career wherein his stardom magsisimula sa British market. His style is fit sa crowd na iyan.”

Ancajas, known for his technical style of fighting, took Conlan apart in 6 rounds. During their exchange in the first round, the Panabo City native was able to connect a short stab to the body that felled the Irishman.

Ancajas steadily bombed Conlan with heavy shots to the body to score two more knockdowns in rounds 3 and 4. Conlan tightly guarded the body, but this left his head open to a looping right hand that dropped him once more in the 6th. At this point, the referee stepped in and waved the fight in favor of the champion.
