Achieve vanity and comfort at Victoria Beauty Alphabet

- By Jo Ann Sablad

KAGAY-ANONS and those living near the city will have no need to travel far to satisfy their demand for beauty as well as to unwind.

A new salon Victoria Beauty Alphabeth recently opened along JR Borja Avenue fronting EMCOR, offering non-surgical cosmetic procedures and locally brewed coffee to its clients.

Owned and managed by a partnership of the distributor of L’Oreal and Orly in Mindanao Beda Joy Elot, and the dermatologist Dr. Ernesto Canlas, VBA is a beauty salon that provides the “A to Z of beauty” and at the same time relaxation through coffee and cakes.

Upon entering the establishment, clients will be welcomed by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee due to the cafe situated inside.

Onwards is the salon where customers can have their facial, manicure and pedicure, among others.

“Because I am distributing L’Oreal and Orly so its a natural flow business that I open the salon for the products that I carry. L’Oreal, I’ve been distributing since I was 13, Orly is an additional brand for me. So that we can also showcase the products that we are carrying, we have to open the salon,” Elot said.

The idea to have both the cafe and the salon in one establishment came due to Elot’s dream of having a place where one can hold their meetings while having their nails done.

“This is what I really wanted to do, you know as somebody who is working, its really difficult to find time to sit down and have your nails done. Syempre (Of course) sometimes, you have to do multi-tasking. So I want to have a place where they can have their meeting and also have their nails done,” Elot said.

She added that the name of the salon was inspired from her daughter’s name “Victoria” and the “beauty alphabet” from their desire to provide the A to Z of beauty to satisfy their customers.

Dr. Canlas, as someone who manages the clients who wanted to have nonsurgical cosmetics procedures such as face lifting, nose fillers, threading, and among others, said that with the opening of the Beauty Alphabet, women who loves to spend some time and money for their appearance and hygiene will have no need to go to Manila or other far places outside Cagayan de Oro City.

“Everything we do in the mall, like for example what Belo offers, we can do that,” Canlas said.

Elot, meanwhile, assured the public that the employees who handle the salon area of the business are trained by Orly and L’Oreal and those who assist Dr. Canlas are licensed nurses, while employees on the cafe area are male local brewers.

A salon and a cafe in one, surely an ideal place for women who love beauty and comfort.
