Re-elected Padayon ally takes oath before Moreno

- By PJ Orias

A PADAYON Pilipino ally who was re-elected as barangay chairman took his oath of office before City Mayor Oscar Moreno yesterday, signifying his allegiance to the current administration.

Barangay 17 chair Jerico Goldmar Ebabacol, however, clarified that having the mayor administered his oath of office does not mean he has jumped ship to Moreno’s camp.

17,” he said.

Ebabacol is supposedly the Padayon Pilipino candidate for the Associations of Barangay Councils (ABC) election this coming August.

But Ebabacol said he had no idea that he was chosen as a candidate, even as he expressed his interest to still run for the position under the Padayon Pilipino banner.

“Wala sad nako biyae, walay bulok pultika nahisgutan, pag uban lamang sa pagserbisyo. Nagpasalamat pud ta sa mayor kay wala sad ta niya giengganyo nga ipauban kundili kaabag lang gyud sa pagtunol sa serbisyo,” he said.

“This is not for me, but for the barangay 17, I am just an instrument,” he added.
