Bambi: Padayon Pilipino’s alliance with Duterte’s daughter Sara in the bag

- By PJ Orias

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente ‘Bambi’ Emano disclosed over the weekend that his political party Padayon Pilipino will forge an alliance with Davao City Mayor Sara DuterteCarpio’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

Emano said the alliance will be official on June 22 where the presidential daughter Sara is expected to lead the oath-taking of the elected barangay officials in Misamis Oriental who are under the Padayon Pilipino umbrella.

Duterte-Carpio has earlier rounded-up local officials in Davao region to join her regional party that is expected to battle House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez’s “full slate” in the upcoming 2019 midterm elections.

Emano said his alliance with DuterteCarpio is not only to boost his political party, but also to give Misamis Oriental a chance to learn from the booming Metro Davao.

“Una, ang task force davao, nindot kaayo (First the task force davao, it’s a nice program) they are very courteous, they are able to sustain it. When it comes to agriculture, kung gusto ka ug mangosteen or durian (if you want mangosteen or durian), Davao is

number . And I think, kung mahimo nato sila nga partner or sister city (if we make them our partner or sister city), makakuha ta sa ilang teknolohiya kung unsaon nga pwede nato magamit sa Misamis Oriental (we can their technology and use it in Misamis Oriental),” Emano said.

“Second nanang mga pulitikanhon kay nagtuo pud ko nga si Sara Duterte, kung magpapili ug Presidente or senador, naay capacity nga makapadayon sa nasugdan ni President Duterte (The second one would be politics because we also believe that Sara Duterte, if she wants to run for President or Senator, she has capacity to continue what President Rodrigo Duterte has already started),” Emano added.

The Hugpong ng Pagbabago “seeks to become a solid partner of the Duterte administration in pursuing the agenda of positive social change, economic growth, peace and order and security, and overall national development.”
