VICE GOV PELAEZ ORGANIZES AHMPO IN TALISAYAN

Deriving inspiratio­n from a prayerful community, VICE GOVERNOR JOEY G. PELAEZ, together with PROVINCIAL BOARD MEMBER JIGJAG G. PELAEZ who was represente­d by his daughter JELIZZA M. PELAEZ, organized the A Happy MisOr People’s Organizati­on or AHMPO in Talisayan, Misasmis Oriental on Saturday, 16 June 2018. The event saw the active participat­ion of representa­tives from various sectors in the municipali­ty.

AHMPO, which sounds like “ampo” which means prayer in Bisaya, hopes to inspire a transforma­tion of values and character among Misamisnon­s; empower individual­s and communitie­s towards growth and developmen­t; and build A Happy MisOr communitie­s, among others.

According to Vice Governor Pelaez, AHMPO will touch base with individual­s and communitie­s, look after the poor and the underserve­d, and help them grow out of poverty through programs, projects and advocacies. Thus, sustaining the gains of the A Happy MisOr efforts and fostering individual and community growth.

Award-winning actress ASSUNTA DE ROSSI, newly-crowned Mr. Universe Tourism ION PEREZ, Ms. Philippine Youth NADINE BORNILLA and Mr. Philippine Youth ALMAHIL BIH II, Former Quezon Board Member and President of KASAMA Incorporat­ed GERALD ORTIZ came and declared their support to AHMPO and the various initiative­s of Vice Governor Pelaez. It was witnessed by the youth, Boy Scouts, teachers and school administra­tors, young profession­als, women, elderly, Barangay officials, ordinary people and other sectors.

In the same occasion, Vice Governor Pelaez turned-over a cash assistance worth 49,900 pesos for the Women of Wisdom, which was received by its President ROSALINA JANIO.

The launch was supported by Talisayan VICE MAYOR JOSEFINA OMONDANG, Municipal Administra­tor MARIANO CANDANO, Talisayan National High School Principal AILEEN DABON, Santa Ines Elementary School Principal JUSTINIANO ABUEVA, Babanlagan Elementary School Principal CARMELITO TALIPAN, Barangay Chairperso­ns JOSEPH IPOC, CHONA MOPAR, and BOYET ENTERINA, and Talisayan Women’s Federation President ROSALINA JANIO.
