CDRRMC nominated for Gawad Kalasag

-

After bagging the Best Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) in the regional level, the Cagayan de Oro City’s DRRMC is yet again nominated this time, for the Gawad Kalasag National Award.

Allan Porcadilla, CRDDMD officer-in-charge said the nomination was made after its office won the Best DRRMC for five consecutive years now.

He said the competition is going to be tough considering that their rivals are big cities that are also best in their respective regions.

Porcadilla admitted that the CDRRMD has still a long way to go in terms of equipment.

“But we are striving to be better everyday, so far our teams are equipped with knowledge and can respond to emergencies really well,” he said.
