PDEA-10 tags SPO4 Vilbar as `drug dealer’ with linkages to the Parojinogs

ANTI-narcotics agents have pressed drugs, illegal possession of guns and explosives charges against a retired police officer with alleged Parojinog ties, Wednesday, August 15.

Charged before the provincial prosecutor­s office was retired Senior Police Officer 4 (SPO4) Ruben Vilbar, 57, resident of Poblacion, Lugait, Misamis Oriental.

Vilbar was arrested by the agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency-Northern Mindanao (PDEA-10) and the police inside his house on Tuesday, August 14, by virtue of a search warrant.

Authoritie­s seized 11 sachets of suspected methamphet­amine hydrochlor­ide, known as shabu, weighing about

50 grams and worth around P340,000.

Also confiscate­d were a caliber 45 pistol, 38 caliber revolver and several assorted ammunition of different calibers, and a rifle grenade.

Vilbar was placed number 14 target drug personalit­y in the region.

The PDEA-Northern Mindanao said his residence is just 30 meters away from the Lugait High School which is an aggravatin­g circumstan­ce under the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).

The drug suspect was reported to be one of the trusted cohorts of Ozamis City councilor Ricardo ‘Ardot’ Parojinog who was frequently seen visiting his house.

Parojinog was already detained for illegal possession of firearms, illegal possession of explosives and murder charges.
