2 dead in separate MisOr drug bust

drug suspect identified as Jhonder Pajo of barangay Lumbo was killed in a shootout during a buybust operation.

Investigation showed that the suspect shot the police who acted as poseur buyer, forcing the operatives to retaliate.

The policeman was not hit while the suspect sustained five gunshot wounds on his body. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead shortly.

The PNP chief, who was in the city last Friday to award outstanding cops and police units, said the police will continue to carry out the government’s war on drugs even as President Rodrigo Duterte said that it will be “relentless and chilling”.

“Yung sinasabi na relentless and chilling it will be so. Kailan man di bumibitaw ang police sa war on drugs, ”Albayalde said.

He also clarified that there is no monetary reward for those police officers who could arrest or kill a drug suspect.
