Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano, who is seeking reelection for a third and final term in next year’s election, may likely get his running mate from the shortlist of provincial board member bets.

Emano told reporters on Monday, October 8, that the party will pick among the candidates for the provincial board should Vice Governor Joey Pelaez decides to seek a congressional seat.

“Ang akong (My) running mate is naa sa (in the) shortlist sa (of the) board members like katong (like those) last or second- termer so its either one of them. But, I don’t know yet if Vice Gov has already declared nga modagan pagkakakongresista or unsa iyang plano (to run for congress or whatever his plans are),”Emano said.

The governor said the full slate of the Padayon Pilipino in the province maybe announced next week as they file their certificate of candidacy on October 17.

Emano said the party has yet to completely ironed out its candidates for town mayorship.

Among the 23 towns and two cities, he said only eight have already been finalized which include Manticao, Lugait, Naawan, Initao, Tagoloan, Talisayan, Lagonglong, and Gingoog City.

“Naa man gud changes nga nahitabo so karong walo pa lang ni ang na final (There have been changes so as of now we still have eight mayors so far),”Emano said.

The capitol’s top official said he would finalize and meet all candidates running in the province under Padayon Pilipino this week.
