PRO-10 still clueless on Ozamis judge killing

THE top official of the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) yesterday ordered the activation of a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) that will probe the killing of an executive judge in Ozamis City.

PRO-Northern Mindanao director Chief Superintendent Timoteo Pacleb has condemned the senseless killing of Executive Judge Edmundo Pintac of Ozamiz City Regional Trial Court even as he directed investigators to speedily solve the case. afternoon, Oct. 8. Police said Pintac sustained six gunshot wounds on his head and body. He was rushed to the hospital but did not get there alive.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was possibly driving alone and the suspects just waiting for the right timing.

Pintac was reportedly handling one of the cases of the Parojinogs in Ozamis City.

Investigators have yet to determine the identity of the suspects and the motive of the killing.

Misamis Occidental provincial police director Senior Superintendent Emmanuel Hebron is also working with the local government unit and other private individuals or groups for a possible raising of reward money for any information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. (Alwen Saliring)
