Roadtrip Music Lounge & Restobar opens in Oro
AFTER a long week of work, its natural for people to look for a place to just chill, relax, eat good food, listen to good music and just spend quality time with family and friends.
With a stressful week of all work and no play, it has become a habit to schedule a night, to unwind.
Joining the several bars and restaurants in Cagayan de Oro, a new music lounge and restobar has recently opened in the city.
Roadtrip Music Lounge & Restobar has opened its doors to the public last Friday, October 12, welcoming its customers with tasty food to go with their chilled drinks and music sang by local bands.
Located along Tomas Saco-16th Street, Nazareth, beside Monterey Meatshop, Roadtrip Music Lounge & Restobar is actually previously known as Roadtrip Sportsbar owned by Henri Lopez.
Currently, Lopez co-owned the establishment with his friends from work through a partnership.
What’s different with Roadtrip now, according to Lopez, is that it offers a variety of services compared to before that it only serves drinks and pulutan for people who wanted to get drunk and have a good time.
Billiard and darts were also set up inside the sportsbar.
At present, the Roadtrip Music Lounge & Restobar services include: breakfast served at 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.; all you can eat buffet at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. which costs P99 only (with unlimited drinks); Happy Hour at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. where all drinks are sold at 10% discount; and live band at 8 p.m. onwards.
They also offer car wash services from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
According to Lopez, the idea to change the establishment from a sportsbar to a music lounge and restobar came from his friends who are his partners in business.
“Like chill sa mga kasama namin kung saan sila makapag relax, makapag inom. Kasi dati, nung sportsbar pato, sobrang ingay. Yung mga partners ko, gusto lang talaga nilang maka chill so ayon, they turn it into a music lounge,” Lopez said.
The food and drinks in the restobar are not only tasty but also affordable, Lopez said.
“The food, I can say its the same but marami kaming dinagdag kasi yan yung focus namin ngayon, food at saka drinks, dapat partners talaga yan pag may restobar. Noon kasi puros pulutan lang yung sinerve namin. Ngayon dapat may meals na talaga,” he added.
Their car wash services also cost around P120 to P180.
“Please come and visit us. I know we’re just new here pero mag e-enjoy talaga kayo rito. Lagi kang relaxed, jam with us, drink with us, eat with us,” Lopez said.
