CANDIDATES under the opposition ticket will be finally revealed as the coalition party of Padayon Pilipino and Centrist Democratic Party in Cagayan de Oro City is going to beat the deadline of the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy (CoC) to day.

The opposition bets will file their CoC’s around 2:00 p.m. today.

Councilor Leon Gan, Padayon Pilipino vice-president, has declined to disclose the coalition’s complete line-up ahead of the filing.

He also said the filing will only be simple and no fanfare.

Before the filing, the coalition will hold a mass at the Sto. Nino Parish Church in Barangay 31, as what the party usually do in the past elections.

However, Gan refused to elaborate as to why the mass is held at Sto.Nino church.

“Nahuna-hunaan lang nga didto napud ang misa,”he said.

He said the candidates will be accompanied by their respective families though flocks of supporters are expected to join in the filing.

“Dili malikayan nga duna gyud supporters gani tan-aw nato mas daghan pa kaysa sauna tungod sa coalition nga kauban nato si Congressman Rufus Rodriguez,”Gan said.

Gan also clarified that the coalition is only between the Padayon and the CDP since the negotiation with the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) led by former councilor Lourdes Candy Darimbang is still ongoing.

“So far ang Padayon ug CDP ra ang coalition kay sige pa man negotiation sa Partido ni Candy,”he added.

Meanwhile, the Padayon Pilipino slate in Misamis Oriental will also file their CoCs hours before the filing is over.

Governor Yevgeny Emano said the Padayon’s slate in the province will also hold a mass at the capitol grounds before they actually file their CoC’s around 4:00 p.m..

The governor also said that the party already have their respective bets in the 23 towns and two cities of the province.

“Naay atong kandidato sa matag lungsod taliwala sa kapobrehon sa atong partido duna gihapoy mga mibarog,”Emano said.
