TWENTY-ONE micro, small and medium entrepreneurs from Iligan City and Lanao del Norte have graduated after completing the 12-week mentorship program conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)Lanao del Norte.

Belonging to the second batch of this year’s Kapatid Mentor Me program, these entrepreneurs are engaged in food processing, restaurant and catering services, and trading.

From the 21 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), according to DTI-Lanao del Norte, six of the graduates are from Iligan City while the rest of the mentees are from the municipalities of Lanao del Norte.

DTI said that originally, 23 mentees were enrolled under the second batch however, two entrepreneurs were not able to finish the required 10 modules.

There were also two entrepreneurs from the first batch who attended their missed modules and presented their Business Improvement Plan (BIP), which qualified them to graduate with the second batch mentees.

The panelists for the BIP presentation involved three mentors from the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, namely: Armand Bengo, Vix Madlangbayan, and Arlene Martinez.

Other panelists were from the business sector and representatives from financial institutions to assess the mentees’ BIP, DTI said.

Kapatid Mentor Me Program is a coaching and mentoring project that seeks to help micro and small business scale up thru sessions done by mentors, who are business owners or practitioners across different functional areas of entrepreneurship.
