Appeal of 3 dismissed PNPA cadets junked

Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has denied the appeal of the three cadets who were ordered dismissed from the school after allegedly ordering two plebes to perform oral sex as a form of punishment.

PNPA Director Chief Superintendent Chiquito Malayo said the academy board has junked the motion for reconsideration filed by three cadets due to lack of merit.

“The evaluation of our lawyer finds their MR lacking of merit. I signed it last night. The decision dismissing above cadets from PNPA as a result of the administrative filed against them grave delinquency for compelling victim-cadets to do sexual act last October 6, 2018 is sustained. The motion for reconsideration was denied,” Malayo said.

But Malayo said the students may still appeal before the Philippine Public Safety College.

Earlier, the three cadets were ordered dismissed after they were found guilty of the administrative charges filed against them after allegedly ordering two plebes to perform oral sex on each other on October 6 as punishment for not obeying orders from their upper classmen.

The charges they were found guilty of were grave delinquency and conduct unbecoming of an officer or acts inimical or prejudicial to good order or discipline.

According to former PNPA director Chief Superintendent Joseph Adnol, one of the three cadets is a son of a police official, while one of the victims is a son of an official of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. (SunStar Philippines)
