4 stylish ways to accessorize that lovely piece of fabric
THE scarf is one of the most versatile pieces in the wardrobe, and it doesn’t always have to go around your neck to keep you warm. This piece of fabric is also perfect as a head topper, and even then, there are several ways to style it. Here are four ways to accessorize with your scarf to make your outfits feel new again.
Classic Headband
The no-brainer way to style your hair with a scarf is as a classic headband. Fold the scarf flat and wind around your head. You can choose to expose your ears or cover them, however you prefer.
Coming Up Roses
Here’s one for the more fashionably daring! Pull hair up into a messy bun. Roll the scarf and wind around the bun. Leave the ends free at the front, and pull and shape into these rosettes.
Modern Turban
Fold the scarf into a triangle, then position at the back of the head. Bring the sides of the scarf forward; tie. Roll back and tuck the triangle tip of the scarf. If the two sides are still too long, continue to roll them along the sides of the head, and tuck loose ends underneath. You can choose to help keep the scarf in place with some bobby pins.
Wrap ‘n Roll
Create a headband out of the scarf by rolling it, then wrapping around the head. Overlap at the front in an X, tie at the back, and tuck in the ends.
