Sun.Star Cebu - Sun.Star Cebu Weekend

We hit Hong Kong again in a just a little over a month from Hong Kong Fashion Week, this time for the third installment of Centrestage — Asia’s Fashion Spotlight. As the event by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council is partnered on the lifestyle level with The Mira Hong Kong, there was no better way to stay the week in style than at this designdriven and fashion-forward hotel.
The very first member property of the Design Hotels network in Hong Kong, The Mira’s sleek and dark structure, overlooks Kowloon Park — a beautiful emerald patch in the concrete heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. Nestled in the boutique-lined shopping district and integrated into the brand’s mall property, the Mira Place, the hotel is a convenient and strategic choice for the fashionable traveler.
Heavily tinted glass doors reveal an all-marble lobby with contemporary sculptures and sculptural details. Hard shine and reflective surfaces recur throughout to appeal to the fashionista’s default Narcissist. As conceptualized by lifestyle guru Colin Cowie and designed by Miami-based interior architect Charles Allem, the property’s futuristic flamboyance oozes out of every corner.
Elevator doors to the rooms open to corridors with mirrored ceilings that evoke Yayoi Kusama’s infinity series. Our Park View room window paints a juxtaposition of the hustle and bustle of Nathan Road below against the manicured greenery across the street.
