Rock Paper Scissors Photography
How and when did you become a professional photographer? “We started doing wedding shoots in 2009, but I was still working as an R&D engineer for an air freshener company back then. I officially resigned and started doing professional wedding photography in 2010.” How long have you been working in the industry? “Rock Paper Scissors Photography has been in the wedding industry for nine years.” What do you enjoy most about your line of work? “We love the opportunity for travel our line of work brings us especially out of town/country pre-wedding shoots. We enjoy spending time with our clients and establishing a closer relationship with them. This is essential to us because when it’s time to take their photos, they are already comfortable with us and it’s easy to achieve your vision when you can communicate with them freely.” Can you share the most memorable photo shoot you’ve had? “It’s so hard to pick one memorable photo shoot we’ve had. On the top of my head, I would probably say the wedding we shot in London. It was a different albeit challenging experience because it was the first wedding I’ve shot solo. It’s nerveracking to do all things that a three or four-person team would do. You just don’t want to miss out on anything.” Describe your style of photography. “Our style is a mix of mainly contemporary and a little journalistic wedding photography. We love editorial fashion inspired photography because it pushes the limit of our creativity and challenges us to look for interesting locations and unusual angles. The journalistic approach that we blend into our style allows us to document genuine emotion and include side stories that the couple might not see on the wedding day.”
