Asheet Kagirok wins Y101 Corporate Cup title

TEAM Asheet Kagirok beat Rajah Park Hotel via countback to win the Platinum Division title of the Y101 FM Corporate Cup 2016 at the Cebu Country Club (CCC) last Friday.

Asheet Kagirok and Rajah Park Hotel both finished the team event with a total of 88 points.

The tournament had a two-man, best-ball pair format, and the tie was broken based on who scored better on the second pair of each team.

Asheet Kagirok was composed of Miguel Martinez, former pro Mark Anthony Dy, Ace Serafin and Jingo Abellana. The second pair of Serafin and Abellana topscored for Asheet Kagirok with a 47, while Martinez and Dy added 41.

Kim Kwang Seok and David Ugarte fired 46, while Nonoy Tirol and Gerry Catindoy shot 42 for Rajah Park Hotel, who bagged the 1st runner- up plum.

Strong Built scored 85 points and settled for the second runner-up finish. Al Solon and Andrew Canete hit a 44, while Jufil Sato and Romy Degolacion had 41 for Strong Built.

The NZL Dairy & Co. outlasted PRCC and Innoland Olympians for the Gold Division title. The NZL Dairy & Co scored 86 with Frederic and Jonji Chiongbian scoring 46 points and teammates Eric Deen and Robin Craze adding 40.

The PRCC scored 84 to finish second, while Innoland Olympians settled for second runner-up with 83.

The Silver Division was won by Grow and Green, scoring 86 points from players Mar Selma, Glenn Siao, Lawrence Chian and Edwin Go Lim.
