Moving forward

Citigym, the city’s premiere 24-hour authority on “do-it-right fitness,” has been known to create dynamic classes for its members, among other things, making it the forefront of the fitness industry. At present, it continues to come up with exciting fitness services as it proudly announced that there are two new classes to look forward to.

Last July 28, Thursday, friends from the media were invited to an intimate press gathering held at the gym. Officers of Citigym including Anne Marie Manubag, program and fitness director; Julia Kharminna Siscar, guest services, sales and marketing director; Paul Martin Gabatan, body aesthetics training manager; as well as clinical exercise training manager Eugene Octaviano, were present together with the rest of the staff that day to reveal the new classes in store for fitness enthusiasts: Aqua Fit and Surfing Fitness.

Aqua Fit is high intensity action made gentle by the low impact resistance and therapeutic benefits of water at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino’s Pool Aquarius. Surfing Fitness, on the other hand, brings the core movements involved in ocean surfing without hitting the water, a fun way to integrate power, endurance, flexibility and balance as demonstrated that day. On that day as well, some of its staff were awarded for their exemplary performance and dedication to their tasks.

Apart from that, it was also announced that Citigym is partnering with Cobra Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship as the provider of the Restorative Phase experience through myofascial blading for all participants. The Ironman event will be on Aug. 7 at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa Cebu. Asana Yoga + Movement will also be working alongside Citigym as it will be providing the Yoga Stretch session for all the IronGirl triathletes on Aug. 5.

Also, in line with this year’s much awaited athletic event, all registered Ironman participants are welcome to Citigym and Asana Yoga + Movement one week before and one week after the competition, free of charge.
