Bombardier joins CareerCon 2016

When job seekers and career upgraders flock by the hundreds on Sept. 9 and 10 at SM City Cebu Trade Hall for the CareerCon Cebu 2016, Canadian multinational aerospace and transportation company Bombardier Inc. will be on hand to pick out the most deserving talents to work for the company, offering great opportunities for growth and attractive compensation.

Bombardier has recently sealed its commitment to be one of the major presentors at CareerCon, joining with 20 exhibitor-firms from the fields of busi- ness process outsourcing, education, manufacturing, healthcare services, distributing and printing.

Bombardier started as a maker of snow machines and snowmobiles, but over the years, has grown into a large manufacturer of regional airliners, business airliners, business jets, mass transportation equipment, recreational equipment and a provider of financial services.

In Cebu, Bombardier is a captive shared services office with employees mostly performing financerelated back-office work (with accounting, finance background). By joining CareerCon, it hopes to strengthen its brand and source for talents.

Impressed with the turnout when it previously joined a university job fair, officials believe they can reach out to more people via a fullblown career fair like CareerCon.

CareerCon Cebu is an event conceptualized and hosted by Career First Institute for the first time this year. It was set up with the goal of helping reduce Cebu City's unemployment problem and job mismatch.
