ECCP sets workshop on fabric manipulation
THE European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 7, will hold a workshop dubbed as “ekoSHARE: Fabulation” on Oct. 6 and 7 at the Materials Innovation Centre, DOST 7 Banilad S and T Complex on Gov. M. Cuenco Ave., Banilad, Cebu City.
Francis Dravigny, a French designer known for his extensive material exploration on abaca, is the resource person of this oneand-half-day event.
Fabulation is a portmanteau of fabric and manipulation. It is an enriching lecture and workshop on the fundamentals of fabric manipulation with a one-on-one consultation session with Dravigny on the use of fabric in product design.
Part of the package is a plant tour in Cebu Interlace, Dravigny’s factory.
ekoSHARE is a workshop series featuring sustainability in design. It is conducted MATIC and managed by ECCP Cebu. Students are also welcome to attend the workshop.
Registration fee is P4,800 for ECCP member companies and students. Nonmember companies are charged P5,500. This is inclusive of snacks, lunch, and materials that will be used for the workshop.
