Ombuds indicts Honasan, 9 others for pork scam

OMBUDSMAN Conchita Carpio-Morales has ordered the filing of charges against Sen. Gregorio Honasan II and nine others for their alleged involvement in the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.

According to Carpio-Morales, she found out that in April 2012, the Department of Budget and Management released P30 million as part of the Honasan’s PDAF with the National Council of Muslim Filipinos as implementing agency.

Honasan and others allegedly facilitated and approved the payment in favor of Focus via two tranches totaling P29.1 million.
