Hostage taker killed in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna—Responding operatives of Dasmariñas City police force in Cavite Province neutralized and killed a hostage taker on Saturday at Rembulat Compound Salitran 1 Village in said city.

Investigation reports disclosed that the suspect identified as Peter Carpio Adricula took the victims, Marian Tarazona, 20, Janielsa Tarazona Fajanil, 8, and Jeremiah Tarazona Fajanil, one year old, as hostages on Saturday afternoon.

Accordingly, the suspect entered the house of the victims unnoticed by the mother of young victims, took a kitchen knife and held them as hostages.

At 3 p.m., the young Jeremiah was released unharmed, however, by 5:45 p.m., the suspect stabbed the two remaining hostages prompting the responding cops to restrain the him.

The two victims with stabbed wounds in different parts of their bodies were brought to Emilio Aguinaldo Medical Center for treatment while the suspect was rushed to the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician due to gunshot wounds.
