Man hangs self after fight with wife

-

A MAN allegedly hanged himself in his house in Barangay Poblacion, Pardo last Wednesday morning.

Authorities found Eden Macaraya, 33, hanging from the ceiling with a rope around his neck.

“He was depressed. They had a misunderstanding with his wife,” PO3 Nicolo Gonzales told Sun. star Cebu.

In an initial investigation by the Homicide section, the victim’s wife, Lanie, had a quarrel with him regarding the text messages she discovered from his phone.

She said to the police that Macaraya attempted to kill himself when they were yet lovers in 2010.

Lanie found her husband at 7:15 a.m. when she arrived home from Asturias.

When she opened the main door, she saw the victim already hanging from the wooden beam.

No signs

Initially, there were no signs of foul play in their house.

Police recovered a suicide note, full of pictures of Macaraya’s four-yearold son written with, “I’m sorry.”

It also contained their marriage contract with a long letter.

“There were a lot of sorry’s for what he’d done,” Gonzales said.
