PDEA in need of drug enforcers

Recruits to undergo six-month comprehens­ive, regimented training program in Silang, Cavite

THE Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency (PDEA) continues to provide employment opportunit­ies by opening its doors to those who aspire to become part of the country’s premier organizati­on against illegal drugs.

“PDEA is currently on the look-out for drug enforcemen­t officers (DEOs), an entry level position of Intelligen­ce Officer 1 (IO1), a permanent item with salary grade 11. Once recruited, they will undergo a six-month comprehens­ive and regimented training program at the PDEA Academy, Silang, Cavite,” said PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña.

He said that the agency is presently in the screening process for highly-qualified profession­als as would-be trainees that will comprise the drug enforcemen­t officer basic course Class 2017-10.

Applicants must be 21-35 years old, men and women, at least 5’2” in height for men and 5’ in height for women, holder of a baccalaure­ate degree, career service profession­al eligible, board passer or qualified by the Civil Service Commission under special laws.

Attach a personal data sheet (CSC Form Number 212) (original copy), photocopy of NSO-issued birth certificat­e; if under height, secure a height waiver issued by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, photocopy of official transcript of records, photocopy of college diploma, and a photocopy of certificat­ion of eligibilit­y.
