CIS Christmas Bazaar 2016
Getting ready for the holiday season, shoppers flocked to Oakridge Pavilion at Oakridge Business Park for the annual Cebu International School (CIS) Christmas Bazaar! Sponsored by BMW and Oakridge Business Park (Supreme Sponsors), Aboitizland, Enhance Visa, Fitness Nation, Gelatissimo, Kandaya Resort and Kepco (Primary Sponsors), BPI, Ford and RCBC (Secondary Sponsors), this year’s huge list of vendors included a range of items made in The Philippines: hospitality/ leisure, fashion, jewelery, home decor, toys, crafts, products by non-government organizations, as well as sweet and savory food items. Hosted by Miss Cebu 2016 Gaby Raine Baljak (who also happens to be a CIS alumna), the event turned out to be a fun and busy yet very successful one!
Founded in 1924, the Cebu International School is the only accredited international school in the Visayas and Mindanao area of the Philippines and one that offers the International Baccalaureate program. It is also the only school in the Philippines that is accredited with all three organizations of the CIS (Council of International Schools), WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and Paascu (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities). The fact that Cebu International School is accredited with all three organizations means that it holds a unique position within the spectrum of education offerings in the country.
Cebu International School is a private secular institution offering a Pre-school to Grade 12 college preparatory international education. CIS is a non-stock, non-profit, self-sustaining corporation governed by a Board of Trustees elected from the parent body. CIS is organized into an Elementary School (Pre-School 3 to Grade 5), and the Middle/High School (Grades 6-12), with the IB Diploma program being studied in Grades 11 and 12. CIS boasts a wellresourced campus with modern facilities, located in the suburb of Pit-os, North of Metro Cebu.
See you again at next year’s CIS Christmas Bazaar! And to all my readers, I truly wish you the Merriest Christmas ever!
