BFP reshuffle is ‘routine’

-

FIVE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 7 officers were reshuffled in a turnover ceremony yesterday.

Senior Supt. Samuel Tadeo, regional director of the BFP 7, said that the reassignment was done because some of the officers were promoted.

“Normal movement po namin yun,” he said, referring to the re-assignment of Chief Insp. Randy Mendaros as Talisay City Fire Marshal to the fire marshal of Tagbilaran City in Bohol.

Mendaros had been the fire marshal of Talisay City for three years and three months.

Aside from him, Senior Insp. Raul Bustaliño, the acting city fire marshal of Tagbilaran City has been transferred to the Office of the Regional Director in the BFP 7.

He said he was dismayed when he found that he was one of the non-performing fire marshal, which according to him was not true.

“Purely, pang- discredit sa career. Kung gusto sila, naa koy papel ikapakita (It’s purely to discredit on my career. If they want, I can show them papers as proof),” Bustaliño said in a Balitang Bisdak report.

He said that it was probably establishments who were affected because of his strict policy.

Senior Insp. Joel Abarquez, acting city fire marshal of Mandaue City was designated as Acting City Fire Marshal of the Talisay City Fire Station.

From the Office of the Regional Director BFP 7, Senior Insp. Josephus Alburo was re-assigned as Acting City Fire Marshal of Mandaue City.

Insp. Carmel Dionela, was promoted from being a caretaker into the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of the Consolacion Fire Station.

The officers participated in a turnover ceremony during the bureau’s flagraising ceremony yesterday in front of their building.

Tadeo said the re-shuffling is part of the right direction that the bureau is pushing for to better serve the public.
