Vietnamese BPO now serves local companies

SEEING business potential in the Philippines, a Vietnamese multinational software company has announced that it has started to offer its services to local companies.

FPT Software Philippines chief of sales and business development Giogines Teves said priority industries include banking and finance, manufacturing, and the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector.

With headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam, the software company opened its Philippine operations in Cebu IT Park in March 2015 to serve its growing number of clients in vari- ous parts of the globe, especially Japan.

The company also has presence in Japan, USA, Germany, France, Slovakia, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, making it one of the biggest Vietnamese companies today.

"(We started with) the local market three months ago," said Teves, referring to local clients.

FPT Software Philippines is a product of the ASEAN Economic Community. As a service company, it offers end-to-end software development as well as maintenance services to clients.

"These (finance, manufacturing, and BPO in- dustries) are our major focus next year (because) we see a lot of potential where we can provide our services," he added.

To support this endeavor, FPT Software created a Philippine division of the worldwide business development office to focus its efforts in reaching out to Philippine clients.

The Philippine operations of FPT Software can also provide customizable products for companies like human resource information system, payroll system, treasury management system, accounting and inventory system and more.
