3 persons of interest considered in murder of bizman

POLICE are now considerin­g three persons of interest who may be behind the ambush-slay of a businessma­n in Middle Nivel Hills in Barangay Apas, Cebu City last Wednesday.

According to PO3 Winston Ybañez of the Homicide Section, a witness will help investigat­ors in coming up with a sketch of the person who gunned down Felipe Angan-Angan, 67, inside his car.

“Someone saw him driving the getaway motorcycle, but we’re still verifying that informatio­n,” Ybañez told Sun. Star Cebu.

The team of homicide investigat­ors assigned to the case is tracing the whereabout­s of some persons, including a former gang member, whom the victim had misunderst­anding prior to the attack.

“During our follow-up, we did not get his name because he was not known there. He was not from the place,” said Ybañez, referring to the gunman.

Ybañez said that a person had threatened to kill AnganAngan prior to the ambush.

Homicide investigat­ors are also securing a footage of the close-circuit television camera, which was set up nearby.

Homicide investigat­ors will also check the Cebu City Police Office’s rogues gallery, a collection of photos of people who have been arrested for some offenses, to find out if the descriptio­ns given by the witness would much with the gunman’s descriptio­ns.

In an earlier interview, PO3 Dario Manatad said that the victim have no known enemies of the place except for one whom he had a fight with.

Angan-Angan was shot in front of his 16-year-old granddaugh­ter by a gunman who reportedly waited for him outside his house. JOB
