Every year is always an interesting venture and 2016 was no exception. Even with the not-so-desirable events, there are always those moments that leave their marks on us. Some of these moments are pleasantly extraordinary—perhaps full of adventure—and don’t happen too often. As we count the days left before the year closes, our readers tell us their off-the-bucket list experiences in 2016.

It was when my family and I went to Sandbox in Pampanga and tried the trampoline swing that soars up to 50 feet high in the sky. It swings up until the seats are almost parallel to the ground and then swings back. Being scared of heights all my life, I never thought that I would even consider doing this, but it turned out to be the greatest and bravest thing I’ve ever done and though it only lasted for a few minutes, it was definitely the highlight of 2016 for me.— Gabrielle Marie Lim, 20, architecture student (USC)

Seeing the world’s tallest building up close was one of the best experiences I consider while working in Dubai. Work and travel at the same time. Fun, indeed.— John Ray Rosario, 26, interior designer

It was the moment when I went on a trip to Siargao in the late part of June with my fellow Design classmates and our professor for the traditional “esquisse” of our year level. To top it all off, the entire trip was paid for by the school! Those were five unforgettable days.— Neil Andrew Sayo, 21, architecture student (USC)

Skydiving. I never thought I could jump from a plane, yet I did. It feels so liberating. You get to see the world from another perspective.— Hannalyn Uy Mendoza, 26, architect
