FOUR men were arrested after they were allegedly caught sniffing shabu in Barangays Mabolo and Pardo, Cebu City.

In Barangay Mabolo, a team of police operatives arrested three men who were allegedly sniffing shabu in an abandoned house on J. Luna Ave.

Operatives of the Mabolo Police Station Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group arrested Marlon Solon, 33, and Ryan Solon, 37, who are both residents of Barangay Mabolo; and Wendel Gonzales, 18, of Sitio Kawayanan, Barangay Lahug.

Police said that they launched the operation against the suspects after receiving information against them.

Six small sachets of shabu, with a market value of P3,000, and drug paraphernalia were seized during the operation.

In Sitio Campar, Barangay Poblacion, Pardo, police also arrested Eliseo Aro, 37, who was allegedly found sniffing shabu alone inside a shanty.

The arrest was made after police received a tip from a puto vendor about the allegedly illegal activity of Aro.

Aro allegedly tried to escape by destroying the back portion of the shanty, but police cornered and arrested him.

Police recovered from his possession assorted sniffing paraphernalia, such as one folded aluminum tinfoil used as a funnel, one hand rolled aluminum tinfoil used as a tooter, one partially burned hand-rolled tissue paper used as a wick, one disposable lighter and one empty small plastic sachet.

Aro also yielded one aluminum canister with six sachets of suspected shabu inside. It was valued at P1,200.

They were brought and detained at the Pardo Police Station.

All the four arrested suspects will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Anti-Ilegal Drug Operations of 2002.
