THREE suspected drug pushers were killed on separate occasions in Danao City in the past two days.

At 1 a.m. yesterday, four unidentified gunmen barged into the house of Angelo Giangan, 37, in Barangay Looc, and shot him several times while he was asleep.

Some neighbors, who were still awake, said the culprits were wearing masks.

PO3 Joel Ilustrisimo, desk officer, said the victim was in their list of drug personalities.

Giangan had surrendered during Oplan Tokhang and promised not to engage in selling drugs, but an intelligence report stated he was again involved in the illegal drug trade.

Last Monday afternoon, Leomar Espina and Rosipiyo Cane Matiga died after they allegedly engaged the police in a shootout in Barangay Taboc Camaligbato.

Suspected junkies Antonio Laping Laum, 23, and Andre Anog Gemino, 32, were caught sniffing shabu in Espina’s house.

Police seized 5.08 grams of white crystals believed to be shabu worth P59,944 from the suspects.

A .357 revolver loaded with four bullets, P800 cash and the boodle money were confiscated from Espina.

Operatives recovered a .357 revolver with three bullets, a pack of shabu and P400 from Matiga.

Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against Laum and Gemino before the Danao City Prosecutor’s Office.
