Duljo resident nabbed for P897T shabu

A supposed buy-bust in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City was foiled when a neighbor of the drug suspect exposed the police decoy by calling him “Tsip.” (Tsip is the common name used for local police officers)

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after allegedly yielding more than P800,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust in Sitio Plastican, Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City at 10 p.m. last Monday.

Drug suspect Jerkin “Ken” Oralde was arrested by a team of the Mambaling Police Station after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 to a police decoy.

Police reportedly confiscate­d three medium packs of shabu from Oralde that weighed 76 grams. Police said it has a street value of P305,000, but based on the value set by the Dangerous Drugs Board the seized drugs is valued at P896,800.

During the operation, the police decoy talked to Oralde about buying a sachet of shabu from him.

“Palit ka, bai? (You want to buy, man?),” Oralde allegedly told the decoy.

“O, bali’g P1,000 lang (Yes, I will buy P1,000 worth of shabu),” the decoy reportedly said.

Oralde was arrested after handing over the sachet. The three medium packs of shabu were reportedly found from the suspect’s pocket during a body frisk. Police also confiscate­d P5,000 from the suspect.

‘Tsip’

Meanwhile, a supposed buy-bust in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City was foiled when a neighbor of the drug suspect exposed the police decoy by calling him “Tsip.” (Tsip is the common term used for local police officers.)

This alerted drug suspect Renante Durens, 32, who quickly ran away; he was later caught by the authoritie­s.

During his arrest, a sachet of suspected shabu and several drug sniffing parapherna­lia were reportedly found from his possession.

In Barangay Guadalupe, a team from the Police Station 9 arrested Ronilo “Kagot” Bacalan, 38, during a patrol operation in Englis Riverside.

Bacalan was reportedly found in possession of five sachets of suspected shabu.

Complaints for drugrelate­d offenses will be filed against all the arrested suspects.
