You’re wide awake at 10 p.m. and decide on a spontaneous night out with your friends. Which places in Cebu stay open late? Check out these options.

You’re off from work. You catch dinner somewhere out with a bunch of friends to avoid the rush hour traffic going home. Suddenly, youthful exuberance starts to kick in and the barkada is now thinking: “Who’s up for a little night out?”

Fortunately, Cebu has a few spots perfect for such spontaneous nights. Here are a few options in the metropolis where people can hang out past 10 p.m. until the wee hours of the next day. Closing Time won’t be playing anytime soon.

Dice Kong Vibo Place, Axis Entertainment, Escario St., Cebu City. Closes 2 a.m.

With over a hundred board games to choose from, it’s highly improbable to catch anybody falling asleep from boredom right here at Dice Kong. A newly opened place that’s slowly gathering a young (and young at heart) clientele, the board game café is all about good, clean and fun competition with friends or family till the next day. / LQ3

Tom N Toms Coffee The Greenery, Pope John Paul II Ave., Cebu City. Open 24 hours

Sometimes a quiet but riveting conversation in between sips of great coffee is the only night out one needs. At Tom N Toms Coffee, conversations aren’t time bound because the place can serve you its wide array of drinks, desserts and snacks 24-7. Talk about anything and everything under the sun—or more accurately, the moon and the stars. / DRB

Café Racer Ouano Ave., North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City. Closes 2 a.m.

Inspired by U.S. diners back in the late ‘50s, Café Racer gives one a shot at taking Instagram-worthy photos. But it’s not all about the looks. The place is known for its tasty barbecues and beers, and comfortable indoor or al fresco dining set-ups. A bonus? It’s got its own car wash which enables one to get his car serviced while enjoying his draft beer spewed out of vintage looking gas pumps placed beside the restaurant to give that authentic retro diner feeling. / CGS

Kusina Uno GND Arcade, F. Cabahug St., Cebu City. Open 24 hours

This place has been awarded this year as the SunStar Best of Cebu 2016 winner for Best Pochero in town. Is that not enough of a reason to, at least, consider Kusino Uno as a late night dining, hangout spot? Whether for a hot bite or cold bottle of beer, this place is teeming with life when the rest of town is probably asleep. / LQ3

Degree 9 Coffee GAGFA Bldg., F. Cabahug St., Cebu City / Norkis Cyberpark, A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City. Closes 2 a.m.

Degree 9 Coffee remains to be one of the most frequently visited spots in the city. It’s one of many ideal places in Cebu that possesses a cool and comfortable vibe where people can be themselves. More than that, Degree 9 Coffee is not just a coffee shop but also a roaster, so patrons can expect freshly brewed coffee during each visit. / MRL
