Apart from taking souvenir photos and tourist-y selfies, one of the best experiences that one could get from visiting other places outside your home city or province is getting to taste good food. And we’re not just talking about delicacies identified with the city, town or country. There are places that you visit that have unique food places that you do not find in your home town. I remember some years ago when Dunkin Donuts and Goldilocks were among the favorite pasalubong items of those coming from a trip to Manila. But thankfully through the years, many of the good quality food places have continued to come to Cebu. Today, these readers talk about the fast food joints or restaurants that they want to have here in the metro and satisfy the Cebuanos’ tummy cravings. I would choose Dairy Queen, because it’s one of my favorite stores in Manila. Their ice cream tastes good and of great quality, too.

If given the chance, I would love to franchise my own Golden Corral Buffet and Grill here in Cebu. It is an American family-style restaurant chain serving all types of meals featuring a large all-youcan-eat buffet and grill, with numerous hot and cold dishes. This was my first dine-out experience when I was still in the US and I was just amazed by their food servings. It was a restaurant like no other.

I would definitely like to have Panda Express franchised here in Cebu. Although we already have a wide variety of Chinese/Dim Sum fast food chains here in Cebu, I believe Panda Express serves dishes that are more “rooted” in traditional Chinese cuisine and can enhance the taste buds of Cebuanos without burning a hole in our wallets. Besides, who doesn’t love Orange Chicken?

I want the “Snack Break” in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte to be available in Cebu. I really love their halo-halo, which has plenty of home-made mango ice cream and other ingredients. This is the best Halo-Halo I have ever tried in my life. They also offer burgers, fries and other fast food snacks.
