MANILA / 2 COMPLAINTS VS. DE LIMA FOUND SUFFICIENT IN FORM

Senator Vicente Sotto III, who chairs the Senate Ethics Committee, confirmed that his committee found two of the five complaints against Senator Leila de Lima sufficient in form and substance. De Lima is given 15 days to answer the charges against her. The complaints have to do with offenses allegedly committed by de Lima as a senator. Sotto added that allegations against de Lima as Justice Secretary were trashed by the panel. Among the charges was that de Lima allegedly advised her former driver Ronnie Dayan to skip the House hearing.
