Touchdown Boracay! From its white sandy beaches, to the sights and sounds awaiting its tourists as the place bursts with rhythm and life from sunup to sundown, it comes as no surprise why it’s one of the country’s most raved-about getaway destinations. But one has to see it to believe it. Getting to one of the country’s treasured islands comes easy with the many travel options in store for travelers seeking to enjoy this paradise.

With that in mind, Philippine Airlines (PAL) proudly launched its new inter-island service to Caticlan direct from Cebu City and offers daily flights using the 76-seater Bombardier Q400 aircraft, giving locals and tourists more choices and chances to explore the place.

Passengers boarded the inaugural flight to Caticlan on flight 2368 at Gate 9 last Dec. 16, 2016 at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. As a way to commemorate the occasion, a ceremony took place which included cutting of the cake among other highlights to mark the inaugural flight. It was attended by quite a number of guests including those from the Philippine Airlines team, the travel industry, the media and passengers.

Guests from the media and travel industry also had the opportunity to join the inaugural flight to Caticlan for the familiarization tour to Boracay for a two-day, one-night stay to fully experience the tourist spot.

Also present were PAL president Jaime J. Bautista, Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo as well as GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corp. chief executive adviser Andrew Acquaah Harrison.
