AboitizLand donated 274 high-visibility vests and raincoats and 80 traffic batons to the Cebu City Traffic Office (CCTO). The Agency saw that the traffic enforcers in Metro Cebu lack gears and equipment. The turnover ceremony was held in Barangay Cogon, Ramos Gym, Cebu City. AboitizLand chief executive officer Andoni Aboitiz expressed admiration and gratitude to the traffic enforcers, saying they are not doing an easy job, especially when they have to endure the heat and rain while being out in the streets. “Your hard work and dedication should be given importance,” he said. The gears and equipment aims to increase visibility of traffic enforcers, especially at night, and for their safety. Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña thanked the Aboitiz family for the support, saying the provisions will create a big impact on the work of the enforcers.

Seeing the lack of equipment of traffic enforcers in Metro Cebu, AboitizLand Inc. recently donated a total of 274 high-visibility vests and raincoats and 80 traffic batons to the Cebu City Traffic Office ( CCTO), formerly Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom).

In a turnover ceremony held in Barangay Cogon Ramos Gym, Cebu City, AboitizLand chief executive officer Andoni Aboitiz thanked the traffic enforcers for their dedication and hard work and for being vital in the functioning of Metro Cebu.

“It’s not easy to be a traffic enforcer as you always have to endure the heat of the sun, the darkness at night, and the cold rains. Your hard work and dedication should be given importance),” said Aboitiz.

The provision of traffic gear aims to increase the visibility of CCTO personnel at night, ensure their safety at work and help them function more efficiently under any weather condition.

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña, in response, thanked the Aboitiz family for its usual support extended to the City.

True to its brand promise of nurturing communities, Cebu home-grown real estate developer AboitizLand supports the City’s efforts in decongesting traffic and mitigating road accidents for a safer and more livable Metro Cebu.
