HALFTIME SHOW AFTERMATH
Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl 51 halftime show trended on social media Monday, rivalling the actual game itself where Americans saw Gisele Bundchen’s man Tom Brady lead the New England Patriots to a win against the Atlanta Falcons. The celebrities became the fan
WAHLBERG VS. USHER
Mark Wahlberg and Usher had a friendly banter during the Super Bowl. Boston-native Wahlberg cheered for the Patriots while Atlanta-born Usher backed the Fal- cons. Both wore their respective team’s logo on their heads.
In the end, Wahlberg’s team won but he wasn’t obnoxious about it. He posted a photo of himself Face-Timing Usher—Wahlberg had to leave the game early because one of his children got sick—with the caption: “Trying to console my guy @usher. All love!”
Usher also posted a photo of their Face-Time activity with the caption: “Can’t win them all. Congrats to the Pats. We will RISE UP and comeback stronger! Mark, we’re coming for that in 2018. Lol.”
PINK CONGRATULATES LADY GAGA
A lot of netizens threw shade at Lady Gaga for channeling Pink during her Super Bowl halftime performance Sunday night in the US.
The moment Gaga jumped off the building, performed while suspended on cables pop fans noticed it was reminiscent of Pink’s many performances.
Pink took to social media to set the record straight: she did not invent the flying performances.
“For the record: Lady Gaga killed it yesterday. Her voice was powerful and beautiful, her outfits were on point, choreography stellar, her heart was in it and she sang about love and inclusiveness…”
“Let’s celebrate a woman who has the guts to jump off a roof and stand up there in the first place. Who cares if I flew first? Cause I didn’t! Cirque (du Soleil) and Peter Pan (have) been in the air for years!”
According to Nielsen, 117.5 million watched Gaga’s halftime performance.
BUNDCHEN: BEST CHEERLEADER
Gisele Bundchen is not just a supermodel, she is also a cheerleader. Her cheerleading talent was showcased during the Super Bowl where her husband Tom Brady led his team to a victory. Brady now holds the record for having the most Super Bowl wins in the history of American Football.
Bundchen documented most of her fandom on social media. She posted a photo of her four-year-old daughter wearing a jersey in honor of Brady and the Patriots. She also shared a photo of herself posing with the women in Brady’s life, including the quar- terback’s mother. They called themselves “Brady’s Ladies.”
But what captured America’s attention was Bundchen, caught on camera, shouting “Let’s go, baby” in the middle of the game.
BILES, SHAQ POSE FOR ICONIC SHOT
Opposites attract: Baller Shaquille O’Neal and gymnast Simone Biles pose together before the Super Bowl kicked off.
E! News called it a face-to-torso moment for Biles with O’Neal standing at over seven feet while the multiple Olympic gold medallist stands at a mere four feet eight inches.
